Business is business, but it's still about who we are and what we belive. We all have a place wwhere we draw the line, but just where is that place? For me, it would have to be something that goes against what I believe. Not just in a minor way, but down to the middle of my soul.
But, then the question is, how do you deal with the customer? Do you go against another moral and lie about why you won't do it? Are little white lies ok?
Guess I'll have more answers on this one when I actually face the situation. Until then.....
Karen

The customer is always right when you don't do you...

The customer is always right when you don't do your job correctly and that means signing off on everything...even an order for a close friend. - Heidi

I had excellant training when I bought my machine,...

I had excellant training when I bought my machine, so that is a hard question for me to answer! But, I was under the impression that I could "do it all"! Meaning, I could do the embroidering and digitizing. Well, I couldn't figure out why my digitizing wasn't running well on the machine. I'd used a combination of auto digitizing with my software and some tweaking with manual digitizing. It took a while for me to admit to myself that it takes experience and a lot more knowledge to do quality digitizing! There's a lot more to it than just putting a little underelay in and stitches on top. You have to know which underlay and which stitches to use, plus the correct pathing.
Besides, I am only one person and both digitizing and embroidery take time. So, I've decided to let the digitizers do their job and I'll do the embroidery. That way we can both specialize in our chosen field.
Karen

To answer the question. I would have liked to know more about the difference between Home embroidery digitizing software and the Commercial digiitizing software.
You can spend thousands on home digitizing software and the added ones to be able to resize, change or convert formats, and last but not least the time it takes to do all of that and it still leaves you stuck with limitations.
I know that I spent over $5,000.00 to try to do what the commercial side does and didn't even come close to what Wilcom can do.
I've converted to
the comercial side and am pleased.
Leah
